Bryan Cranston spotted directing an episode of “Modern Family”

Last week Bryan Cranston was spotted directing an episode of the hit ABC series Modern Family.

One of our Twitter followers,  @SeaveyLA, met Bryan on the show’s Los Angeles set where he was a directing a scene in which, “Cam and Mitchell were in this car (above), driving about and shouting random funnies out the speaker.” @SeaveyLA also told us the scene looked hilarious and Cranston was “very nice.”

The cast of Modern Family seemed to agree. Eric Stonestreet, who played an exterminator in a season one episode of Bryan’s first hit series, Malcolm in the Middle, tweeted, “Bryan Cranston is directing Modern Family this week. One of my first gigs was Malcolm in the Middle. He was and is a gent of a guy.” Julie Bowen also tweeted about their guest director, writing, “Walter White directs Modern Family! Bryan Cranston is amazeballs .. I can’t stop asking him about @breakingbad.”

Cranston will begin filming the fifth and final season of his AMC series Breaking Bad in Albuquerque next month.
