‘Dead Man Down’, starring Colin Farrell, among productions filming in Philly this spring

According to the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, a new film starring Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace will soon begin a 40 day shoot in Philadelphia.

Dead Man Down follows a New York mobster’s hitman and a disfigured woman as they go on a violent revenge-fueled killing spree.

According to some industry websites, the movie will begin filming in April and may do some additional shooting in New York City as well.

In addition to Dead Man Down, After Earth, starring Will and Jaden Smith, will also be shot in Philadelphia next month, along with a new NBC medical pilot, Do No Harm, about a doctor who struggles with an alter-ego.

NBC is currently looking for Production Assistants to work on Do No Harm for approximately three weeks beginning Tuesday, March 6. You can find more information about the positions at film.org.

Later this year, Political Animals, a six-episode cable show to poke fun at notable political figures will also begin filming in Philadelphia.
