Find out how to score a spot on the Oscars Red Carpet bleachers

If you’re watching the live coverage of celebs arriving on the Oscars Red Carpet and you’re wondering how you can get a seat on the fan bleachers, you’ll have your chance, but not until next fall.

Each fall for one week only the Academy lets fans from around the world apply online for a random drawing for the bleacher seats along he Oscars red carpet.

There are only about 700 seats available (though that may change if the show changes venues), and they not only give you a once in a lifetime look behind-the-scenes of the red carpet, but everyone seated in the bleachers is also invited to a nearby location to watch the awards ceremony.

Keep an eye on Oscars.org for more information about the ticket lotto later this year!

  1. We are visiting from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada(actually the 24th is our last day in LA) that week…how can we get tickets or at least view some of the excitement. Looking forward to hearing from you.

  2. My girlfriend and I have been dreaming of being spectators at the Academy Awards Red Carpet for many years. We are both turning 55 and would love to fulfill one of our biggest dreams together. We’d love to leave the men home and make it a girlfriends long weekend. Please notify me when we can begin entering the lottery for 2015. Thank you!

  3. Please notify me when the red carpet bleachers seats are availble for entry. My girlfriend is turning 50 next year, Feb/26; and I thought this would be a great birthday present, something to definitely remember. It would be a great girls night out!
