‘Spring Breakers’, starring Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, & James Franco, begins filming in Sarasota, FL on Monday

According to TampaBay.com the new movie Spring Breakers will begin production on Monday in Sarasota, FL.

The production is expected to spend five days shooting at Sarasota’s Ringling College of Art and Design.

The movie’s stars, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson and Heather Morris, are all expected to be involved in the scenes which will include exteriors on campus, and interiors in a student residences and a laundry room.

Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson were spotted at the airport in Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday where they took a photo with fans. The girls were reportedly on their way to Florida for the movie.

Spring Breakers follows four college girls who rob a fast-food restaurant to go to spring break and land themselves in jail. Along the way they meet up with a shady criminal who bails them out of jail in exchange for them killing his arch-rival. James Franco plays the criminal.

After wrapping in Sarasota, the movie will move to St. Petersburg.

  9. i will not go out there to see that little brat again!
    she seemed very stuck up and didnt seem to appreciate her fans… when i was at the school there was only 5 LITTLE GIRS with their mother there was no crowd. she ignored them covered her face and walked away. it was a waste of time!! my little girl was very disappointed.

Sometimes when an actor is on set they aren’t allowed to interact with “fans” while they are WORKING..You have to understand that they have 5 days to get all these scenes done & done correctly at this one location and then they have to move to their next location. Time is money in the film industry. This is a JOB that she has to take seriously in order to keep her reputation and to continue to get work, NOT a vacation where she has free time to visit with fans every second! When she has been on her free time she has been very sweet and cordial, even taking photos with someone while she was in Walgreens just trying to buy some groceries.. she doesn’t owe you anything so get over it!

  11. Clearly i can tell that you work for her. She owe me and every single mother in this world who has kids. We buy her cloths, dvd, and evrything that has her picture and name on it. If it wasnt for us she would be a regular kid just like one of our. Everytime when I drive by on my way to work, I see the same 5 people. we are just talking about 5 people , we are not talking about thousands lined up for her. I can understand you explanapion, but your last sentence was very insulting to all of us. No one is hurting Selena career more than you.

  14. We were waiting for Selena day and night and we just took a picture with Selena at night. I must say that Ashely benson was not a nice girl. She told Selena to get in the van with what seem like an attitude problem. I’m just sad too see this. 2 days waiting and this is what we get.

  15. i took my lil sis today and met heather morris from Glee, ashley benson and vanessa hudgens
    took pix with vanessa and they were both super nice

    ashley had come out first with a red wig on and took photos with people i thought it was selena (or maybe someone else bc i had just gotten back and didnt even know anyone was coming out to greet) wish i had hurried up and gotten photos
    but selena wasnt there today sadly.

  24. I’ve always wanted to meet selena. I love here music and the movies she has played I can’t wait until Spring Breakers comes on dvd. selena is soooooooooooooo awsome i hope you come out with a new cd.
