‘Pasadena’ will begin filming in Pasadena, CA next month

In a world where a movie called Empire State is shot in New Orleans, it has almost become a novelty for a movie to filmed where it is set.

But, that’s exactly what director Will Slocombe plans to do when he begins filming his next project, Pasadena, in various locations around L.A., including Pasadena, next month.

Peter Bogdanovich, Cheryl Hines, Alicia Witt, Ashton Holmes, Sonya Walger and Amy Ferguson are set to star in the dark comedy.

Here’s  the movie’s official synopsis:

“Set in present-day Pasadena, the film centers on the eccentric Turner clan, an upper-class family torn apart by secrets revealed over a Thanksgiving weekend. Patriarch Poppy (Bogdanovich) has invited his black sheep daughter Nina (Witt) home for the holiday – her first visit in 15 years. Nina immediately clashes with stepmother Deborah (Hines), and competes with her siblings (Holmes and Walger) for Poppy’s affection – and money. Over three days, the family gradually disintegrates over who will get Poppy’s money – only to discover he’s broke.”

“We’re shooting in a beautiful mid-century home, the perfect setting for a 1% family like this to fall apart,” explained Slocombe. “On the surface, everyone is calm and successful. But, as the weekend drags on, they peel away the layers to get at each other’s raw nerves. It’s the kind of emotional terrorism that only families can inflict on one another.”

    Haha so true

  2. I needed to compose a comparable (or at least it appears
similar, based on the information given) study paper back in 2015 if I was a student.
Gathering the necessary information was quite hard and hard.

However, you were able to show the subject really accessible and understandable.
Anyways, it was interesting to refresh a few things and find out something new.

  3. I am so glad I came across your article!
It took me weeks to look for the info you have mentioned previously
and it is a genuine blessing to find someone as enthusiastic about this topic as myself.
What I am attempting to convey is that the importance of this issue can’t be hesitated.
Individuals who increase it are all worth appreciation despite the fact that I, personally,
don’t completely share your views. Anyhow, thank you for sharing your own expertise!
