According to WECT, Iron Man 3 has made their first request to the city of Wilmington, N.C. to film on location.
“Iron Works Production’s has requested an application to film at the Cape Fear Club on Chestnut Street [in Wilmington, N.C.] on Tuesday May 29 from 5 a.m. and 7 p.m.”
If their request is granted, Chestnut street between Second and Third Streets in Wilmington will be be closed between 5 a.m. and 5 p.m.
The application also says two members of the cast will be there along with 20 extras.
As we’ve reported, filming for Iron Man 3 is getting underway this month in Wilmington with most of the shoot taking place at EUE Screen Gems Studios in Wilmington.
So far, Wilmington has been more than accommodating to the production, which is the biggest in the state’s history. In fact, the CFPUA (Cape Fear Public Utility Authority) has even agreed to work with the studio to make sure one of their current improvement projects doesn’t affect the Iron Man 3 shoot.
