The Vampire Diaries’ Mystic Grill in Covington, GA on fire this morning

 

According to Covnews.com, the building that houses the Alexander Royston Law Firm in Covington, GA, which also plays the Mystic Grill on The Vampire Diaries, caught on fire this morning.

The report says the initial call came into the fire department around 6:40 a.m. The caller said there had been an explosion followed by transformer and power lines on fire near the town square.

According tot he fire department, the building could be a total loss inside.

And that’s not the only regular Vampire Diaries set in jeopardy. The Covington home used as Elena’s in the series is currently for sale.

The owners of the 5,900 sq. ft. house with that now famous wrap around porch are asking $450,000 for the home. You can see pics of the pad over at RadarOnline.

This morning the Vampire Diaries executive producer Julie Plec tweeted, “Uh oh. In real life, Elena’s house is for sale and the Mystic Grill is on fire. What the hell happened in the season finale?”

UPDATE: According to an update in the CovNews about the fire, it should not have any impact on The Vampire Diaries when they begin filming season 4 this summer.
