‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ shoot will move from Vancouver to Louisiana in June

For the past couple of weeks Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters has been filming at Robert Burnaby Park in Vancouver, but in a few weeks the cast and crew will be moving to Louisiana.

The follow up to Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief has been filming in and around Vancouver for more than a month and most of the movie’s stars, including Logan Lerman and Nathan Fillion, have been spotted around town.

But, according to Film Louisiana, Percy Jackson 2 will film in Louisiana from June 29 to July 12. We’ve heard mixed reports about where exactly the movie will be filmed, some have said New Orleans, others have mentioned Shreveport.

Glorioso Casting will handle all extras casting once the project begins filming in Louisiana.

  1. My friends and i were on our way to New Orleans last night and noticed Jazz Land/ Six Flags all lit up! (something we haven’t seen since we were kids!) We made an emergency detour and drove back towards Jazz Land and talked to some people and they told us they were filming a movie! It’s great to see Jazz Land/ Six Flags lit up again. Brings a new sense of hope to me for New Orleans.

  2. Yeah, they’re defiantly filming at the old Six Flags New Orleans. I was driving home from work earlier today, and the park was all lit up with trailers all over the place.
