Thanks to one of our readers, Dennis, we have a first look at the Munsters’ Mansion being built at Universal Studios for the upcoming NBC series Mockingbird Lane.
Executive Producer Bryan Fuller recently discussed the upcoming Munsters reboot, saying “We want this show to be an American Harry Potter.” He added, “To have that sense of a magical world that you get to go to with your family and find stories told in a fantastical way that are instantly relatable. It’s an American Horror Story that the whole family can watch.”
The show will star Mason Cook as Eddie, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Munster, and Charity Wakefield as cousin Marilyn.
The new mansion can now be seen from the tram tour of Universal Studios in L.A. The set is located behind the house from The Best Little Whore House in Texas. Below are several photos of the in-progress mansion, you can check out a mock up of what the set wil look like once completed here.
They are just wasting their money on trying to remake an old classic tv show, I have a feeling that this show will just end up getting cancelled. Can’t hollywood put out something original that hasn’t been done before. It’s sad really, I rather see a new show than a remake. I’m sorry I don’t see this show having any success.
