According to a recent press release, Angelina Jolie began filming Maleficent, the untold story of Disney’s most beloved villain, Maleficent, from the 1959 classic Sleeping Beauty, in the U.K. on June 13.
The movie will reveal the events that “hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby, Aurora.”
The movie will also star Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.
Most of the shoot is expected to take place at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England though Angelina has been spotted filming in a field, where they have set up a tent village for the shoot, in “the heart of Buckinghamshire” this week.
The Jolie-Pitts have relocated to London for the summer while Angie continues shooting.
