‘Olympus Has Fallen’, starring Gerard Butler, filming in Shreveport, LA on July 9 & 10

This morning Olympus Has Fallen officially began filming in downtown Shreveport, LA.

As we’ve reported the movie, starring Gerard Butler, Dylan McDermott and Aaron Eckhart, has been building a replica of the White House in Bossier City on Walker Drive at Arthur Ray Teague Parkway near the CenturyLink Center, but before they begin filming there, they will spend a few days filming in Shreveport.

Today, filming will take place on Texas Street between Marshall and Common Streets in Shreveport from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to Midnight.

On Tuesday, July 10, from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., they are filming on Cotton Street between Louisiana Avenue and Texas Street and on Common Street between Crockett Street and Fairfield Avenue.

Traffic will be closed from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Texas Street between Marshall and McNeill streets, Marshall Street between Texas and Milam Streets, Milam Street between Marshall and McNeill streets and McNeill Street between Milam and Texas streets.

Special effects work is also expected during filming on Milam Street between Marshall and McNeill streets will also be closed on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., including gunfire, smoke and explosions.

Butler plays an ex-Secret Service agent fighting to defend the White House from terrorists in the film.
