‘Looper’ will open the Toronto International Film Festival

The filmed-in-NOLA futuristic flick Looper will open the 37th Toronto International Film Festival on September 6.

In addition to Looper, Argo, Jayne Mansfield’s Car, Silver Linings Playbook, and the doc Free Angela & All Political Prisoners, will all also premiere at the festival.

Looper, which stars Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, will have its World Premiere at TIFF.

“Rian Johnson is a film auteur known for combining different genres to give his projects an original spin,” TIFF director and CEO Piers Handling said of the film.
