‘Fractured,’ starring Eric Roberts, wraps up filming in Detroit’s Palmer Park neighborhood today

Fractured, a psychological thriller starring Eric Roberts and Jake Busey, has only been filming in Detroit for two weeks but the production is already getting ready to wrap up.

Locations for the movie have included a home and apartment building in Palmer Park, the University of Detroit Mercy campus, and the Unity Temple.

The film was written and directed by Detroit filmmaker Lance Kawas, whose previous credits include Street Boss and Restitution.

Hopefully the cast of Fractured is having a better experience than Jeffrey Dean Morgan did on the set of his latest filmed-in-Detroit movie Red Dawn. The actor recently said the shoot was brutal because director Dan Bradley wanted his actors to really feel the action.

“There were a couple of rough days,” he said. “Dan wants you to do your own stunts. I remember we were out in the middle of the woods outside of Detroit and it was like 30-below. He wouldn’t allow there to be cast chairs or heaters for us in between takes. It sucked.”

  1. Doesn’t even make sense to even mention Red Dawn, as the situation with Morgan had nothing to do with the “experience” of being in Detroit or Michigan or the director or actors of this film……? Morgan mentioned what the Director forced him to endure, that could have been anywhere in the world. If you’re going to compare anything you should ask them all how they liked being in our great state not what the director asked them to do.

    • I didn’t do the interview…if you follow the link the interview is there…I would have asked them how they liked Detroit…I didn’t mean to imply it was Detroit that was bad…I just thought the Morgan interview was interesting and thought it was a way to tie it in…nothing more than that.
