Thanks to one of our Twitter followers, @TheAlexLynch97, we’ve learned that James Street North in Hamilton, ON will be made to look like Detroit for Robocop.
Crews are currently converting a space at 265 James Street North into a restaurant where a chase scene will take place September 24 – October 1.
The Robocop reboot, starring Joel Kinnaman, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton, is scheduled to begin filming in Toronto this week. Originally, the movie was also expected to film at least a few exterior scenes in Detroit (where the movie is set) but now that Hamilton is filling in for Detroit, we wonder if the Michigan portion of the shoot will be scrapped.
