Open Casting Call for Extras for ‘Foxcatcher’, starring Channing Tatum, in Pittsburgh this weekend

Foxcatcher has been searching for wrestlers in the Pittsburgh area for a few weeks and now they need some regular folk for the film too.

Foxcatcher follows John du Pont, the great-great-grandson of E.I. du Pont who founded the chemical company. In January 1996, John shot and killed David Schultz, a 1984 gold medal winner who lived at the state-of-the-art Foxcatcher National Training Center on the 800-acre du Pont property in Newtown Square, Pa.

Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo will star in the movie, with filming expected to begin later this month.

The movie’s casting department is seeking men and women over the age of 18 interested in taking part as extras in the film, who would portray characters such as police officers, wrestling world people (coaches, trainers, refs, wrestlers, etc.), business men and women, politicos, photographers, owners of cars from 1975-1998, general background wrestling match spectators amongst many other characters.
