How to Get “OLV’s Field Guide to Celebrity Sighting: NYC”

The response to OLV’s first book e-book has been overwhelmingly positive (which I am so grateful for!) but it has also raised some questions that, hopefully, I can answer here!

iBooks:

OLV’s Field Guide to Celebrity Sighting: NYC is currently available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and I’m working on getting it into iBooks, too. But, if you have an iPad or iPhone, you can still purchase the e-book NOW.

You can easily download a FREE Kindle App for your iPad or iPod Touch HERE. You also can download a FREE Kindle App for iPad HERE.

Once you’ve downloaded the Kindle App, you can easily purchase OLV’s Field Guide to Celebrity Sighting: NYC, especially if you already have an Amazon account. I’ve done all of this with no problem and believe me, if I can do it in just a few minutes, anyone can!

Other Cities:

Yes, the idea behind Field Guide is that it will be a series, and there are more books already in the works. But, right now, I am concentrating on making the NYC book a success! If you have a suggestion about a topic you’d like to see covered in an e-book, shoot me an email at olv@onlocationvacations.com!

Also, keep in mind, many of the tips in the NYC book can be applied to any city. The book thoroughly explains the layout of a movie set, what to do once you find a set, what to do if you meet a celebrity, and provides a general idea about where celebs hang out, in any city.

Newbies AND “Experienced” Fans:

I know some people feel they don’t need the book because they already know how to find celebrities in New York. But, I think it is still a great resource because it includes hundreds of links and addresses, all organized in one place, that we all use all the time to find celebrities. It’s like having the ultimate celeb-finding address book in your pocket, all the time!

It’s also a great way to support OLV. If you’ve been a longtime reader, this is a way to ‘donate’ $5 to the site and a way for me to raise the funds I need to help move OLV forward.

I sincerely believe this guide is the best of its kind. I spent a long time talking to readers, researching every other resource out there, trying out these tips myself, and tracking FAQs, to put together a guide custom made for fans who want to have fun and see stars. This isn’t one of those cheesy guides that gives you a bunch of celeb addresses which may or may not be accurate, or a list of generalizations like so many of the other guides I’ve seen. I believe it’s the real deal, and I hope you all see that, too.

You can read more about the guide here, buy it on Amazon here, or buy it on Barnes and Noble here.

  1. A note about the guide in iBooks, it is probably going to take a long time to get the book into iBooks, I have been working for nearly two months to get it accepted but some people wait 5 or 6 months to get their books approved, if they get approved at all (it’s the worst). My best advice at this point would be to get the Kindle app and get the book that way.

This morning I have been looking into some kind of reimbursement but not sure that will work out either…I wish there was something else I could do for my fellow Apple users but my hands are tied at this point…

If anyone does happen to have the magic formula for getting a book published on iBooks, I would love some advice. 🙂
