‘Jane Got A Gun’, starring Natalie Portman, begins filming in New Mexico after getting off to a rocky start

After some turmoil on the set, Jane Got A Gun has started filming in New Mexico, according to THR.

The Western, starring Natalie Portman, was suppose to start shooting last Monday but was derailed after director Lynne Ramsay dropped out due to a disagreement with producer-financier Scott Steindorff. Then, Jude Law, who had stepped in when star Michael Fassbender quit the movie, also exited the project. Sources say the actor had agreed to join the cast only because he wanted to work with Ramsay.

Gavin O’Connor has now stepped in to replace Ramsey and began shooting on Thursday but not before the original schedule was scrapped and a weekend shoot was rescheduled for this week causing 175 extras to be told they wouldn’t be needed.
