While filming in Los Angeles has been steady, feature film shoots have declined due to increased government incentives offered by rival states, including Louisiana and Georgia.
But, the Zac Efron/Seth Rogen comedy Townies has provided a boost to Los Angeles feature film production.
The Universal movie, directed by Nicholas Stoller, has been among the most active on location shoots recently. Townies, which revolves around a frat boy whose behavior affects a local neighbor’s family life, has been filmed entirely in Los Angeles.
Locations for the movie have included Los Angeles City College, Universal City Walk, a Silverlake apartment a private home in the mid-city area where they shot scenes last week.
Townies wraps production on Friday, but if you spot them filming in the meantime, let us know about it at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
