Once again Transformers: Age of Extinction is filming explosive scenes on location in Chicago this weekend.
According to flyers and permits from the production company and the City of Chicago, the movie, starring Mark Wahlberg, will be filming at 111 S. Wacker Drive building from 7 p.m. Friday until 6 a.m. Monday. The shoot will involve “live stunts” and “large pyrotechnics.”
This will be one of the last big shoots for the movie in Chicago as they are set to wrap next week.

does anyone know if they are filming explosion scenes in the day or night?
According to someone I know, yes, they just walked by an explosion.
Got some video of a helicopter, looked like it had camera equipment on the front of it, buzzing Trump International at about 3:00. Aggressively skimming across Lake Michigan down one of the main streets and really coming close to the Windows, multiple times. I wish we would’ve been in the suite!
I actually took some pictures with my camera of the set and the director. Many people was hovering around the area.
I was fortunate to see Transformers crew filming as I got off work this morning and on my way to union station. They had all the bridges raised and helicopters were flying very low down the river skimming the water as they flew under the raised bridges. Very cool to see and cant wait till next summer when movie is released. Huge fan here of all the Transformers movies!!
I work right across from where they are filming. I uploaded a video of an explosion to YouTube. Here is the link for your viewing pleasure : ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deqz72Rd9V8
