Angelina Jolie is expected to begin shooting Unbroken in Australia’s Hunter Valley in January 2014.
Currently, Jolie and her crew are filming in Sydney but will move to the new location in a few weeks. Last week Jolie drew a crowd of on-lookers as she filmed on Sydney’s Pitt Street.
‘‘As the director of the film, she will definitely be on set all day, everyday,’’ a spokeswoman for Screen NSW said.
Jolie will also film at Werris Creek Railway Station in the Werris Creek township in mid-December.
Unbroken chronicles the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who survived in a raft for 47 days after a near-fatal plane crash only to be caught by the Japanese navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
Jack O’Connell stars in the movie which has also filmed scenes at Fox Studios Sydney, Cockatoo Island, and the Gold Coast Queensland.
