After last season’s final episode of Girls ended with Hannah (Lena Dunham) heading off to the University of Iowa, some fans wondered if that also meant the end of Girls filming in NYC.
Luckily, it did not, but perhaps only because the University of Iowa turned down HBO’s request to film Girls there.
So, after their request was denied, Lena Dunham and the rest of the Girls team decided to stick with what they know best – Brooklyn.
According to DitmasParkCorner.com, the Brooklyn neighborhood of Ditmas Park is supposed to be Iowa in the coming season, “and yes, there will be a frat party with some Lena Dunham Jell-O wrestling action.”
So, to the dismay of some residents, the cast and crew of Girls will descend on Ditmas Park to shoot more Iowa-set scenes this week.
On Thursday, 5/1 and Friday, 5/2, Girls will be filming around Church Avenue, from Coney Island Avenue to Argyle Road, on Albemarle, from Argyle to Westminster, and on Coney Island Avenue, between Caton Avenue and Hinckley Place.

Can you please tell me which studio ‘Girls’ films at? Thanks!
