‘Paper Towns’ is filming in Cabarrus County, NC this week

Last month we reported Paper Towns – a new movie based on the John Green novel – was going to be filming in Wilmington, NC this week, but now, due to a change in venue or scheduling, the movie is shooting in Cabarrus County, outside of Charlotte, NC, instead.

The movie’s crew has transformed Central Cabarrus High School, located at 505 N Carolina 49, Concord, NC, into Jefferson Park High School for the shoot which will continue through Saturday.

They are also still looking for local extras for the scenes too, check out the latest casting call below:

PAPER TOWNS -In need of High School types of various ethnicities -African American, Asian, Hispanic, Latino, Mexican, Chinese, Native American, Indian, Middle Eastern and more. If you are or have a child between the ages of 16 -21 that would be available for filming a day this week -please submit their photo and information to us ASAP at paperhighschool@gmail.com with heading STUDENT REQUEST.
Please make sure you include the day or dates you are available. We are still seeking around 7 for Wed 12/3 filming as well as several for Thursday, Friday and Saturday filming as well. Please be aware call times to report are very early -5;30 -6;30 AM and we are filming in the Concord area. Thanks

Paper Towns follows two estranged childhood friends, Quentin and Margo, who reunite for a night of debauchery. Soon after Margo disappears and Quentin sets out to find her. Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne have signed on to star.
