The National Board of Review held their annual gala on Tuesday night at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The annual awards ceremony honors the year’s best films, without cameras, so the stars can let their hair down and take their time giving their acceptance speeches.
Among the evening’s memorable speeches was give by Clint Eastwood who won best director for American Sniper. Eastwood started his speech with a poem for his star Bradley Cooper, who was there to present him with the award. “There once was a man named Bradley, who never acted too badly,” Eastwood said, before stopping. “No, I can’t tell it. The rest is too dirty.”
One of our contributors, Denise, was at Cipriani to catch the stars coming in and, luckily for the few fans who had gathered outside in the cold, most stopped to say hello.
Check out these pics of Allen Leech, Ava DuVernay, Bruce Willis, Common, David Oyelowo, Edward Norton, Jack-O’Connell, Jessica Chastain, JJ Abrams, Julianne Moore, and Zachary Quinto arriving for the awards.
Thanks to Denise for the photos!
