According to a new casting call, The Vampire Diaries will once again be filming in Covington, GA on Jan. 20.
The town has filled in as Mystic Falls on TVD since 2009. Covington has embraced its roll in The CW series, and a few locals have even opened a real Mystic Grill where fans can grab dinner or a drink.

VAMPIRE DIARIES (PLEASE READ CAREFULLY) is looking for families to work Tuesday, January 20th in Covington, Georgia. Please be prepared to work a minimum of 10-12hrs. No call time yet, but please be prepared for a morning call. IF YOU KNOW SCHEDULE IS NOT FLEXIBLE TO SPEND A MIN 10-12 HRS ON SET REGARDLESS OF CALL, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT.

In other Vampire Diaries news, executive producer Julie Plec has confirmed the show will be saying goodbye to one of its main cast members. According to EW, Steven R. McQueen will no longer be a series regular as of episode 14.
“It’s time for him to go out and live his life and we’re actually going to say goodbye to Steven R. McQueen as a series regular,” Plec told the magazine. “He’s growing up and moving on. He will be out living a real life.”
