This week filming commenced on Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, Ang Lee’s adaptation of the Ben Fountain novel.
The movie follows a 19-year-old private, played by Alwyn, who survives a battle in Iraq that is captured by news cameras. He and his company are brought back to the U.S. for a promotional tour culminating in a halftime show at a Thanksgiving Day football game.
According to the local paper, the movie is filming at a house on Combs Street in Locust Grove, GA this week, with additional filming taking place in May.
Billy Lynn’s all star cast includes Joe Alwyn, Vin Diesel, Kristen Stewart, Garrett Hedlund, Steve Martin, and Chris Tucker.
