HBO’s drama The Leftovers is moving to Austin, TX, and getting a new cast of characters, for season two.

The series, based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Tom Perrotta, reportedly exhausted most of its source material in season one, making it a good time for the show to make a fresh start.

Season one of The Leftovers, which was filmed and set in New York, followed characters dealing with the aftermath the mysterious disappearance of millions of people around the world.

The move to Texas won’t just mean a change in scenery, it will mean a shift in characters and casting for The Leftovers. A few main characters will return, like Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), Laurie Garvey (Amy Brenneman), Matt Jamison (Christopher Eccleston) and Nora Durst (Carrie Coon), but a new host of characters will also join the show.

The Leftovers begins filming in Austin this month.
