In Photos: David Duchovny & Gillian Anderson surprise fans with a mini ‘X-Files’ reunion

David Duchovny had the ultimate surprise for X-Files fans during his latest gig at The Cutting Room in NYC.

During the set, his X-Files co-star Gillian Anderson joined him on stage, where they sang, danced, fistbumped and even kissed, all while the crowd went wild!

Duchovny called Anderson back up on stage, along with his former Californication daughter Madeleine Martin, to close out the show with a rendition of Sly & the Family Stone’s Thank You. Anderson played a tambourine during the song, which Duchovny predicted she might do one day.

“We’ll put together an X-Files band,” the actor told Esquire. “I don’t know if Gillian plays an instrument, I’ve never seen her play an instrument. I’m sure she can shake a tambourine if she wants to and sing with me.”

David and Gillian were also spotted at the FOX Upfonts this week to announce the next chapter of The X-Files will debut with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, Jan. 24, following the NFC Championship game and continuing in its regualr time slot on Monday, Jan. 25 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT). The six-episode event series reunites creator/executive producer Chris Carter with Duchovny and Anderson as the revise their roles as FBI Agents Mulder and Scully.

One of our friends, Morgan, was in the audience for the once-in-a-lifetime performance and was kind enough to share her photos with us. Check them out below!
