‘Star Trek 3’ begins filming in Vancouver

The latest installment in the Star Trek franchise is about to begin filming near Vancouver.

According to flyers, Star Trek 3, which is using the working title Washington, will be filming at the Squamish Boulders on June 25, 26, 29, & 30.

Zachary Quinto confirmed he is already in Vancouver and ready to reprise his role as Spock by posting an Instagram photo of himself sporting that signature Vulcan haircut and angular eyebrows.

Star Trek 3 will be directed by Justin Lin, with a script co-written by Simon Pegg. It is expected to hit theaters in July 2016.
