Last week, one of our contributors, Denise, checked out the New York premiere of Trainwreck at Alice Tully Hall and caught some of the movie’s stars, as well as special guests, as they arrived on the red carpet.
According to Denise, fans were asked to stand across the street but that didn’t deter a few of the stars from saying hi and signing autographs. “Ezra Miller was really nice!,” Denise said. Adding, “Lebron James and John Cena didn’t even wave or anything.”
Trainwreck hit theaters this weekend and is expected to be director Judd Apatow’s biggest opening at the domestic Box Office, earning more than $30 million.
Amy Schumer stars in the movie as Amy, a young woman who was raised by a father (Colin Quinn) who taught her to mistrust the idea of commitment. According to Deadline, “She’s found success in her career, but lives a life in total opposition to her settled down, married sister, played by Brie Larson. Amy instead is content with a string of one-night stands, dates with less than wholesome characters, but that changes after she’s assigned a story by her editor (Tilda Swinton). She’s profiling a sports physician (Bill Hader), but the assignment quickly transforms into something, much to Amy’s surprise, that could possibly lead to a more long-term connection. But will Amy be OK with this about-face in her dating life, choosing to stick by a good guy who likes her as much as she likes him?”
