The Suicide Squad crew is in Chicago this weekend to get some aerial footage of the city that will be “layered in with other footage to create the story’s fictitious cityscape.”
None of the movie’s stars, including Will Smith, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Ben Affleck and Margot Robbie, will be a part of the shoot.
Here’s a look at where this weekend’s filming will be taking place:
Friday, Aug. 7
9:00pm-9:30pm – There will be a helicopter flying at high elevation (above 500 feet) over Michigan Ave. from Chicago to Wacker. No street closures will be necessary.
9:30pm-Midnight – There will be a helicopter flying at low elevation (approximated 100 feet) over Clark St. from Randolph to Jackson, with intermittent street closures that will last for approximately 10 minutes.
Saturday, Aug. 8
5:45am-6:30am – There will be a helicopter flying a low elevation over the Chicago River from Michigan to Lake, with intermittent street and river closures that will last approximately 10 minutes.
Suicide Squad’s main unit will continue filming on a soundstage in Toronto through Aug. 30.
