Netflix’s Marvel series Luke Cage began filming in New York City this week, under the code name Tiara.
The third series in Marvel’s four series package for Netflix – following Daredevil and Jessica Jones which is set to debut before the end of 2015 – Cage stars Mike Colter as “a wrongly accused man who, granted super-strength by a sabotaged experiment, escapes prison to become a superhero for hire.”
Luke Cage also stars Alfre Woodard, Theo Rossi (aw, Juice!) and Rosario Dawson who will reprise her Daredevil role as Claire Temple, a romantic interest for Cage in the comic books. She will also appear in Jessica Jones, where Cage will make his debut.
We’ve learned that Luke Cage is currently filming in studio at Broadway Stages in Brooklyn.

Luke Cage will be filming in Sunnyside, Queens off the 7 line. Looks like they will be taking up all the parking. Yeah!!!
They closed off the street in front of my apt building in Sunnyside Queens last night into today. didn’t see any real activity but they were in the area. just off the 46th street stop of the 7 line
