As we reported, the upcoming movie Jackie closed down several streets in Washington D.C. over the weekend to film a reenactment of JFK’s funeral procession. During the shoot, crews filmed Kennedy’s casket being greeted by Jackie Kennedy, played by Natalie Portman in the movie. The scene was recreated in painstaking detail which made many onlookers feel like they stepped back into history.
Jackie follows the week in Jackie Kennedy’s life immediately following her husband’s untimely death. Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig and John Hurt also star in the 2017 film.
