This week filming begins on Woody Allen’s Amazon TV Project in New York City. The six episode series is set in the 1960s and will star Allen, along with Miley Cyrus, Elaine May, John Magaro and Rachel Brosnahan.
But, this isn’t the only project Allen has in the works with Amazon. He is also working on a movie, starring Steve Carell, Jesse Eisenberg, Blake Lively and Kristen Stewart, that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio paid $15 million upfront which “sent shock waves through the indie community.”
According to signs, the “Woody Allen Amazon Project” (going by WAAP) is filming on Beekman St in lower Manhattan this week. Based on the filming schedule of the TV show, which was scheduled for March 2016, it appears this is in fact for the TV series, not the movie, though filming on that project should be starting soon as well.

the amazon movie bought for 15 million was already shot last year in los angeles and new york. i assume he’s finished editing it at this point since they finished shooting in September i think. so all he has right now is the series and knowing him he might have a different new summer movie shoot this year but no word yet on that.
