‘Gilmore Girls’ is filming at a familiar L.A. venue next week

If you’re like us, you spent a better part of the afternoon analyzing the first few Gilmore Girls set photos, courtesy of EW. The photos provide a sneak peek of Rory teaching, Luke and Lorelei holding hands (yay, they’re still together!) and a Stars Hollow Musical!

The other big Gilmore Girls news of the day is that Melissa McCarthy will be returning as Sookie! Today, she told Ellen DeGeneres:

“There has something I’ve been asked about so, so many times, and it hasn’t worked out. They’re making four new movies of the Gilmore Girls, which is a show that was near and dear to my heart for four years, and we could not get those schedules to work. There was a whole thing, and then I was going to be out of the country, and literally about an hour and a half ago, we figured out that I’m going to go back and do it, and I am so excited! They’re going to be amazing.”

Finally, we have some scoop of our own. Next week, Gilmore Girls will spend three days filming at the The Ebell Club, located at 743 S. Lucerne Blvd in Los Angeles. The series has filmed at The Ebell a few times before. It was the location of Rory’s first dance in season one, y’know, the one where she and Dean went to Miss Patty’s afterwards and accidentally fell asleep until the morning, leading to one of Rory and Lorelei’s biggest rifts. The Ebell was also the venue for Rory’s “coming out” ceremony in season two and the place where Richard and Emily renewed their vows in season five.

Gilmore Girls
will be filming at The Ebell Club on 4/12/ – 4/15. If you spot them filming, shoot us an email at olv@onlocationvacations.com or Tweet us @olv!
