Tomorrow, Monday, May 16, Upfronts week kicks off in NYC with the NBC and FOX Presentations. These events also happen to be one of the best opportunities all year to meet celebs in NYC!
If you don’t know, the Upfronts are annual presentations where the TV networks reveal their fall line-ups to advertisers and press. And, to really make an impression, they bring along their biggest stars. Though there is no public access to these events, they can still be a perfect opportunity to meet celebrities as they are arriving or leaving each venue.
Here’s a look at Monday’s schedule and who might be attending:
NBC’s Upfront, which will now includes NBC, Syfy, Bravo, USA Network, E! and Telemundo, will be held at Radio City Music Hall at 11 AM with a Telemundo after-party, featuring Jennifer Lopez, at Hammerstein Ballroom to follow.
This year’s presentation will likely feature the casts of some of the networks’ established stars, like Chicago PD and The Real Housewives stars, as well as the casts of the network’s new series.
The new series – Good Place starring Kristen Bell and Ted Danson, Marlon starring Marlon Wayans, Chicago Justice starring Philip Winchester, Powerless starring Vanessa Hudgens, The Blacklist: Redemption starring Ryan Eggold, and This Is Us staring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia – will all be on NBC’s fall schedule, which means these cast members will likely be in attendance for the Upfronts, too.
The FOX presentation will take place at The Beacon Theatre at 4 PM with an after party at Wollman Rink in Central Park. Among FOX’s new series, and potential Upfront guests, are: Making History with Adam Pally and Leighton Meester, Son of Zorn starring Jason Sudeikis, Lethal Weapon with Damon Wayans, Pitch with Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Sarah Wayne Callies, Prison Break with Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, and Star starring Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt.
