After spending a few days filming in Cuba, production on Transformers 5 has moved to Arizona.
The movie was only the second big budget film to shoot in Cuba, just after Fast 8, in more than 50 years. Michael Bay posted a few photos from the Cuba shoot on his Instagram account and it comes as no surprise that the movie will incorporate a few of the classic cars synonymous with Cuba.
This week, Transformers: The Last Knight is filming in Arizona, before moving on to Detroit for the rest of the summer.
The Arizona shoot will close a 14 mile stretch of State Route 303 from I-17 to Lake Pleasant Parkway in Phoenix from 2:00 AM Friday, June 10 to 11:30 PM on Wednesday, June 15.
A few onlookers also spotted the movie filming at Lake Roosevelt. “We see a big brigade of maybe 20 or 30 cars all blacked out military vehicles. My friend was thinking it was special ops and then in the middle of it I saw an Autobot, and I knew right then it had to be Transformers, one fan said.
