Filming Locations and Celeb Events for 6.5.09

Date Night, starring Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, is filming around 626 Wilshire Blvd in the morning and at 613 S Grand Ave, Los Angeles all day.

The Untitled Nancy Meyers Project, starring john Krasinski and Meryl Streep, is filming around 58th and 7th and Central Park S between 6th and 7th, NYC. (Thanks Jo!)

Step Up 3 is filming in Washington Square Park.

Step Up Women’s Network’s 2009 Inspiration Awards Luncheon. Celebrities expected: honorees, Marcia Cross, Lisa Ling, Lauren Zalaznick [NBC Universal]; presenters Tori Spelling, Diana Nyad and Constance Ramos and many others. The Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, 9500 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, at noon.

The Hurt Locker premiere (starring Guy Pearce, Ralph Fines and David Morse, discussion follows with director Kathryn Bigelow.) The Egyptian, Lloyd E. Rigler Theatre, 6712 Hollywood Blvd between Highland and Las Palmas, Hollywood, 6:30.

Fangoria Weekend of Horrors, through Sunday.  Guests throughout the weekend include:  Guillermo Del Toro,
Dario Argento, James Marsters, Tobe Hooper and many, many other scary bodies from horror film and television.  Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, 655 W. 34th Street;  main entrance on 36th Street and 11th Avenue.

Brooklyn Film Festival, opening night.  Screening is BREAKING UPWARDS Based on an actual experiment
devised by director/actor Daryl Wein and actress Zoe Lister-Jones, the film loosely interprets a year in their lives
exploring alternatives to monogamy, and the madness that ensues.  Screening at Brooklyn Heights Cinema, 70 Henry Street, Brooklyn;  party follows at The powerHouse Arena, 37 Main Street, Dumbo.  Fest continues through June 14, 7:30.

Stone, starring Robert DeNiro, is filming near 15 E Michigan Ave, Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Royal Pains is filming at Planting Fields Arboretum again.

There is a massive crew setting up at Dockweiler Beach in Los Angeles. Does anyone know what they are filming? (Thanks Ben!)
