A big budget movie that stars Asa Butterfield, Maisie Williams, Nina Dobrev, Tyler Hoechlin, David Koechner, Ken Jeong, and Tituss Burgess, among others, is taking over the airport in Albany, NY this week.
Departures director, Peter Hutchings, said it was important to find an airport that could accommodate the production. “The airport is a big centerpiece of the movie and we really wanted to make sure to get it right,” Hutchings said.
According to IMDb, the movie focuses on “a hypochondriac (Butterfield) working as an airport baggage handler who is forced to confront his fears when a British teenager (Williams) with a terminal illness enlists him to help her carry out her eccentric bucket list.” Maisie Williams was among the stars spotted on the Albany set on Wednesday.
News10 is reporting the movie will be filming at the Albany Airport for “a few more days.” ALB is located on Albany Shaker Rd, Colonie, NY.
