‘Little Italy’, starring Emma Roberts, spotted filming in Toronto

Emma Roberts

Emma Robert’s new movie, Little Italy, has begun filming in Toronto.

Earlier this month the 26-year-old actress told WWD.com, that the movie was going to be “really fun.”

“I’m leaving on Sunday to go film a movie called Little Italy with Hayden Christensen. It’s a romantic comedy and the director is Donald Petrie, who did How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, Miss Congeniality, and he worked with my aunt [Julia Roberts] in Mystic Pizza,” Emma told WWD.com. “It’s going to be a really fun movie; it’s one of those where you laugh, you cry, you smile. I feel like I haven’t seen any of those movies lately and those are what I love.”

In addition to Roberts, Little Italy also stars Hayden Christensen and Alyssa Milano.

Today, Little Italy was spotted filming for a second day in Toronto, around Spadina Ave and College St. As of this morning, only Christensen was the College Street set.

The movie is just one of many projects shooting in Toronto this summer. The movies Carmilla: The Movie, starring Natasha Negovanlis, and Code 8, starring Stephen Amell, are also in town, along with TV shows like Suits, Schitt’s Creek, and 12 Monkeys.
