The Gwinnett Place Mall in Duluth, GA has gone back in time – to the 1980s – for Stranger Things. The hit Netflix series has given a retro makeover to many of the mall’s vacant storefronts.
Filming, which started last Friday and continues through the end of this week, has drawn many local fans of the show, as well as curious locals.
Extras styled as 1980s mall shoppers, complete with crimped hair and jean jackets, as well 80s-era shops, like Radio Shack, a movie theater, and a Spencer’s Gifts coming soon sign, made many visitors feel like they stepped back in time.
Check out a few of set photos that have been circulating on social media below and, be sure to let us know if you’ve spotted Stranger Things filming at the mall, too!
