Paul McCartney and Bruce Willis Outside The Ed Sullivan Theater

One of our readers, Kim, camped out at the Ed Sullivan Theater to see Paul McCartney on “The Late Show with David Letterman”. She told us that, “Paul McCartney returned, for the first time since 1964, to the legendary Ed Sullivan Theater on Wednesday to tape an appearance for David Letterman, 45 years after the Beatles made their landmark U.S. television debut on “The Ed Sullivan Show.” After his interview with Letterman, McCartney and his band headed to the theater’s marquee on Broadway for a set beginning with ‘Get Back.’ McCartney performed in front of thousands of fans who packed the streets. The rest of the 30-minute set included his new single ‘Sing the Changes,’ ‘Band on the Run,’ ‘Helter Skelter’ and ‘Back in the U.S.S.R.’ It was incredible to hear Paul McCartney’s songs blaring through times square. Then, unexpectedly, Bruce Willis, showed up to do David Letterman’s top 10 list, so that was just an added bonus to an already great day.” (Thanks Kim!)
