NCIS: LA: The new hit CBS series, starring LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell, is filming in downtown Los Angeles around S Figueroa St and 7th St, from 6:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M.
The League: This upcoming FX series, is filming at three locations in L.A.today: E 4th Pl & Molino St from 7:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M., 2059 E 7th St, from 5:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M., and 1275 E 6th St from 7:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M, they will be at this location tomorrow too.
Inception: The much anticipated new film from Chris Nolan starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Ellen Page is filming at two locations today and tomorrow: 453 S Spring St from 3:30 PM- 10:00 A.M. and 215 W 5th St from 5:30 A.M. – 10:00 P.M. Check back later too when we’ll be posting new pictures of DiCaprio and Page on set!
VH1 is filming something at 1333 Willow St today from 6:00 A.M. – 10:00 P.M.
Numb3ers: The CBS series is filming at 369 E 1st St through tomorrow, 6:00 A.M. – 11:00 P.M., and at 140 Judge John Aiso St from 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M.
The Mentalist: Yet another CBS series is filming on location in L.A. today. The Mentalist is filming at Daniel Freeman Medical Center, Inglewood, CA. (see comments)
The Forgotten: Filming 2059 E 7th St until 4 pm.

I visited the set today and was able to get (sneak) past a certain security woman and wait around base camp, since they were doing interior shots. Got to meet Simon Baker, Robin Tunney, and Tim Kang and take pictures with them all. The other security guards and crew members were all friendly and amiable, able to glean some information off them for the episode they are filming. Don’t understand why just that one woman has such a nasty disposition. (She’s the same security I came across at the downtown LA location last week and told me the actors were all gone when I was pretty certain some were still there.)

Just as an fyi: some of the L.A. info comes straight from permits and they don’t always send follow ups if a production is canceled. I know yesterday someone had a problem finding the location for green hornet because the sched. has been changed.

And again I want to compliment you on your OLV site and tipsters. One thing, please understand that Actors & the Security on set have to do their job. Fans can’t always expect the people involved with the Crew & Cast to let fans meet the “stars”. They have work to do. It is their job. As long as the stars are cool about it than that is one thing. Imagine you are at your job and a stranger came up to you and started asking to take pix with you? You might not like it all the time. One never knows if a fan is a fan or a stalker. And a Good Security person understands that. Unfortunately not everyone has good intentions. I noticed alot of people in Boston getting upset if they couldn’t take a picture with a star when they were shooting a scene. There is a time and place for taking pictures.

I completely understand that it is their job. I had no expectations to meet anyone, but since I found myself on base camp I literally sat on a bench for an hour minding my own business and chatting with random crew members that walked past me. I asked the stars for pix when they were leaving the set and heading towards their trailers.
It is sad when rowdy fans/stalkers ruin it for the rest of us. Honestly, when I go out to any filming location it is purely just to watch the filming, or try and see what is going to happen in the episode (I’m such a spoiler addict). The meeting of anyone is just a bonus.
FYI, my friend at FIDM says she sees something filming at Hope/Grand right now. I’m thinking it might be the NCIS: LA since it’s around the area they were reported to be filming today.
Never mind, it ended up just being a Jeep commercial.
