Please provide a brief narrative explaining what the grant was used for and its outcomes.
The grant was used to purchase snacks for our Astronaut Food Taste Testing program during our Solar Saturday event on April 6th. Seven different freeze dried snacks were placed in numbered pill boxes, where people would taste the sample and try to guess what food it was without looking. The program was lots of fun and drew in mostly older children with their parents. It was a great family activity – and also more challenging than I expected it to be! It was great fun looking at people’s worksheets at the end of the day and seeing their guesses. With the grant, we purchased freeze dried ice creams, fruit, and pickles.
