You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, starring Adam Sandler (who recently won the MTV Generation Award) as a Mossad agent who fakes his death to re-emerge as a NYC hairstylist, will be in theaters this Friday, 6.6. The movie, which has some stiff competition in Kung Fu Panda, Indiana Jones, and SATC, was filmed primarily in and around New York City. But the movie was also shot throughout California and Mexico too. The California locations include the Dej Hair Salon in L.A. while the Mexico locations include La Paz and Cabo San Lucas. L.A., Cabo San Lucas, and NYC are all staples of our site but La Paz is also a popular travel destination.
La Paz is the capital of Baja California Sur and a typical Mexico tourist destination. Since we have not yet visited La Paz ourselves we searched out the best travel guide to share with you. Virtual Tourist gives real reader reviews of hotels, things to do, and most importantly, the beaches, check it out here.
And as a bonus below is a video of Adam Sandler shooting a scene for the movie in La Paz. (Thank Goodness for YouTube!)
Adam Sandler is classic in his own way, though he tends to do his best work when he stays casual, not trying too hard to be funny or deep, etc.
