Last night was the big New Moon premiere in L.A. and 90210 star Jennie Garth told E! last week that couldn’t wait for it.
“I’m just excited to be there and support my husband,” she told E! of her spouse, Peter Facinelli. “He’s like the perfect Dr. Carlisle [Cullen]. I’m such a fan of the book and of the movie that I really can’t picture anyone else playing Dr. Carlisle, so I’m very happy to be there on his arm. It’s not about me—I’ll just be arm candy that night.”
Jennie wasn’t the only girl who was happy just to be at the premiere last night. Thousands of fans lined up outside of Mann’s Village Theater in Westwood, some had been there since Thursday, just to watch the stars arrive on the red carpet last night. And a few got a special surprise yesterday afternoon when Facinelli drove by to check out the crowd. He tweeted, “Drove past the Westwood theatre on my motorcycle to wave hi to the fans on the way home from DMV. You guys are awesome #New Moon Premiere.” Later he added, “Just came out of New Moon premiere. Have to catch a plane to NY. Just wanted to say the movie is awesome.”
The whole New Moon gang will be New York City for the rest of the week to make the rounds on several NYC-based talk shows and for a special NYC premiere tomorrow night.
