In 2009 we had a plethora of filming locations to check out all over the country, like Sherlock Holmes in Brooklyn, Up In The Air in Detroit, Eclipse in Vancouver and Knight and Day in Boston. So what can we look forward this year? Here’s a look at just a few of the films we’ll covering 2010 and where they’re filming.
Marvel’s next venture will definitely begin filming this year but the location is still up in the air. The latest rumor is that the movie will be shot in the U.K.
Though there aren’t any details about the fourth and final Twilight movie yet, tentatively, it looks like it will go into production this fall in Portland, OR.
At the premiere of Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs last fall, Bruce Campbell let it spill that Spider-Man 4 may begin filming as early as this month. According to IMDb.com the preliminary filming locations are Los Angeles and NYC.
Vin Diesel recently announced on this Facebook page that the next installment of The Chronicles of Riddick may begin filming soon- in New Zealand. “The Riddick team is in New Zealand location scouting already… that’s exciting,” he wrote.
Tim Burton and Johnny Depp are teaming up once again for a film based on the cult ’60s supernatural TV show, Dark Shadows. The movie begins filming in September or October. There hasn’t been any confirmation on a location as of yet but its assumed they will shoot in the U.K.
Peter Jackman had said that The Hobbit would begin filming this summer, but its possible they may begin even sooner. The One Ring Net reported MGM Studios in New Zealand have already posted notices for extras for the film.
Originally, The Green Lantern, starring Ryan Reynolds, was going to be filmed in Australia, then Mexico, now, it looks like it will call New Orleans home. Rumors on the internet are saying that filming will start in March and run through July or August.

The 23rd James Bond Movie
Daniel Craig mentioned that the next Bond movie would begin filming at the end of this year but now the fate of Bond- and MGM– are up in the air. If the movie does go into production this year, its sure to have some of the most exotic filming locations of any movie this year!
Just in case you’re completely out of the loop- looks like Sam Mendes may direct the new Bond flick.
