Super, starring Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler and Ellen Page began shooting in Shreveport, LA today. The movie is being directed (and tweeted) by James Gunn (who, incidentally, is also the ex-husband of Rainn’s Office co-star Jenna Fischer). You can follow James on Twitter here. This morning he shared, “Today, we ‘pre-shoot,’ meaning we actually start shooting the movie. Outdoor scenes. And it’s raining!”
Another movie is also underway in Louisiana this week. The Mechanic, starring Donald Sutherland, Jason Statham and Ben Foster, is filming in the New Orleans area.
And Thor is now officially in production in L.A. One of the film’s stars, Jaimie Alexander, tweeted that she was excited to begin rehearsals this week. Shooting will begin next month in Los Angeles and will move to New Mexico in March. The movie, which is the latest feature to come out of the Marvel comic world, stars Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman.
