You may have noticed we added a new location for Iron Man 2 to our Upcoming Filming Locations Calendar and now we’ve learned more details about what they’re shooting. According to ComicBookMovie.com, it looks like they may be filming a “upscale Senate Congressional meeting” at DC Stages where they have sets for: a Court Room, Law Library, Judges Chambers Detective Room, Congressional Hearing Room, High Tech Office, Conference Room, Police Dept, Hospital, Bar Nightclub, and 4 Cell Blocks Jail.
They may also be doing re-shoots today, though the location is still unknown. The location we have confirmed is for Jan. 12 in Los Angeles on Mateo St from 6th St. – 7th Street, filming will last all day.
If you have more information about Iron Man 2 or any movie filming in Los Angeles, let us know at olv@onlocationvacations.com!
UPDATE: They are filming in North Hollywood today! (Thanks Megan!)
UPDATE: They were supposed to film the Senate scene on Friday the 8th. But someone from the set has advised it got pushed back either to this week or later in the month.
UPDATE: (1.14): It’s rumored that they are still going to be filming more scenes (re-shoots). One of them might be a Stark Expo scene. And another might be a scene at a high school and some running. We confirmed they did film at DC Stages on 1.12 but there was no base camp set up and nothing really to see. If you have any more info on the Iron Man 2 re-shoots, please let us know at the email address above, thanks!
the sets described above can only fit a huge warehouse such as the DC Stages on 6th street.
