Just last week, Warner Bros. Pictures, had announced they would move their DC Vertigo Comic: “The Losers”, from its original April 9 release date to a later June opening. But now the studio has shifted the film back to an April 23rd premiere.
The reported change occurred to keep “The Losers” from competing with the action-oriented “Clash of the Titans”. “The Losers” will now be up against Universal’s “MacGruber, CBS Films “The Back-up Plan” and 20th Century Fox’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.
Filmed in Puerto Rico, the movie is about members of a CIA black ops team, who after being betrayed and left for dead, root out those who targeted them for assassination.
Directed by Sylvain White (‘Stomp the Yard’), “The Losers” stars Idris Elba (Obsessed), Zoë Saldana (Avatar), Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen) and Chris Evans (Fantastic Four).
