Unpaid extras needed for ‘Mr. Tambourine Man’ in NYC on April 1

If you’re watching The Oscars tonight wondering how you can get your big break, we might have the answer.

Beinamovie.com is looking for (unpaid) extras for a scene in the movie Mr. Tambourine Man. In the scene, extras will appear in the crowd of the film’s big finale- a recreation of a Grateful Dead concert!

Mr. Tambourine Man is the based on a true story written by Oliver Sacks. About Gabriel; a man who, after having a brain tumor removed, loses his ability to form short term memories. When a neurologist discovers that we hear music differently than we hear speech, its determined that Gabriel can begin to form new memories via music.

The scene will be shot in NYC on Thursday, April 1st. As of now, they need everyone at the set by 10:30 am and you will need to be there till at least 6:30 pm. Everyone will be on camera all day!

  1. This is April 1 (hint hint), so I’d be a little wary of the true intentions. The movie appears to actually exist, but don’t be too disappointed if it doesn’t happen.

  2. I had my son skip school and take a trip to NYC with me, we were two of the “unpaid extras” and had a ball! We danced and sang and had a great time. What a nice way to spend the day. J.K. Simmons was a great normal guy, and whoever was directing us, kept everyone informed and calm. He was really great. Next time, you should consider coming. Just don’t make any plans, because they ran late.
